WHAT IS THIS THEME?
WHAT IS THIS THEME?
This Lent join us as we explore the theme Seeking: honest questions for deeper faith. Each Sunday we will ask one of the following questions as we dig into scripture. You will also find a daily bible study devotional in the Narthex available for you to take home and use throughout the Lenten season.
Questions we'll ask during Lent:
Is this the fast that I choose? (Isaiah 58:1-12)
Who will you listen to? (Matthew 4:1-11 and Genesis 2:15-17, 3:1-7)
How do we begin again? (John 3:1-17 and Genesis 12:1-4a)
Will you give me a drink? (John 4:5-42 and Exodus 17:1-7)
Who sinned? (John 9:1-7)
Can these bones live? (John 11:1-45 and Ezekiel 37: 1-14)
Where are you headed? (Matthew 21:1-11)
Will you wash my feet? (John 13:1-17)
Why have you forsaken me? (Matthew 27:27-50)
Who are you looking for? (John 20:1-18)
Join us on Wednesday, February 22 for Ash Wednesday worship at 5:30pm followed by a meal in the Great Hall. All are welcome to join for either.
Lent ends with Easter on Sunday, April 9. The week between Palm Sunday (April 2) and Easter (April 9) we gather for worship on Maundy Thursday, to mark Jesus' last supper with his disciples, and Good Friday, to remember Jesus' crucifixion.
